Pittsburgh, PA (July 16, 2024) – One person was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after a crash in Center Township Saturday afternoon. The accident happened on Route 8 northbound near the Butler Flea Market.
State Police say that a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old White Oak woman was driving south when a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old unknown driver was at the stop sign at Volkswood Drive. Shortly thereafter, the two vehicles collided for unknown reasons, with one running off the roadway as a result. One of the drivers was rescued from their vehicle by emergency crews and then flown to a Pittsburgh trauma center. However, no further details were released, and an investigation is still ongoing.
Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery at this time.
