Tunkhannock Township, PA (May 7, 2024) – According to officials, Tuesday’s collision in Monroe County blocked a section of westbound Interstate 80 and injured two drivers.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, troopers in Tunkhannock Township were called to a two-vehicle collision around 6:15 a.m. They discovered a red Lexus SUV had crashed into a large truck, and the truck had rolled over on its driver’s side. Authorities say that both drivers were hurt and sent to hospitals. The drivers’ names were withheld from the press release. The westbound lanes between Interstate 380 and Blakeslee’s Exit 284 were blocked for almost eight hours in the interim, though an investigation is still ongoing.
