Susquehanna Co, PA (December 18, 2024) – A tragic car crash occurred early on Monday morning in Susquehanna County, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Seth Wagoner from Brandy Station, Virginia, and leaving a 57-year-old man from Montrose injured. The incident, reported by the Pennsylvania State Police, took place at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Snake Creek Rd, just south of Cabin Hill Rd in Liberty Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Wagoner was traveling southbound on Snake Creek Rd when he lost control of his car while driving too fast for the road conditions. His vehicle hit another car, resulting in fatal injuries to Wagoner. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 57-year-old man from Montrose, was injured in the collision. Emergency responders, including local ambulances, arrived promptly at the scene, and the injured man was transported to the hospital for treatment. Firefighters assisted with the extrication of the cars and ensured the safety of those involved. Authorities worked to manage traffic around the crash site, and the road was temporarily closed for the investigation and cleanup.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but officials have confirmed that speed was a contributing factor. Authorities have not filed any charges, as Wagoner was the sole person at fault in the collision.
Our thoughts are with the injured man and his family as they navigate his recovery. We also extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Seth Wagoner during this tough time.
