Truck Accidents in Pennsylvania
In the United States, there were just under 170,000 truck accidents during the last year alone. Though Pennsylvania didn’t take the top spot, it wasn’t too far behind Florida, Texas, and California, the states with the highest number of these collisions throughout the country.
In fact, Pennsylvania ranked fourth nationwide with between 10,000 and 12,000 truck accidents. Even worse, the total number of fatalities numbered between 250 and 300, with 4,000 to 5,000 injured. Like in many other states, truck accidents are a big issue in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has an extensive network of highways and interstates, which contributes to the state’s high truck traffic. Furthermore, the sheer size and weight of these vehicles often result in disastrous crashes.
