The incident took place at approximately 12:51 a.m. on Morton Ave, resulting in one car overturning onto a neighbor’s front porch and the other badly damaged. The driver of the Chevy Equinox was transported to a nearby hospital with an ankle injury.
According to Ridley Township Police, the collision occurred when the woman driving the Chevy Equinox, traveling southbound, crashed into a Subaru. The impact caused the Equinox to flip onto the Subaru. Authorities on the scene detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver of the Equinox. She was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment, and her injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening. Police are awaiting toxicology results and are considering charges related to driving under the influence.
