Ridley Twp, PA (November 25, 2024) – A serious injury car crash occurred early on Sunday morning in Ridley Township, involving a Chevy Equinox and a Subaru. The incident took place at approximately 12:51 a.m. on Morton Ave, resulting in one car overturning onto a neighbor’s front porch and the other badly damaged. The driver of the Chevy Equinox was transported to a nearby hospital with an ankle injury.

According to Ridley Township Police, the collision occurred when the woman driving the Chevy Equinox, traveling southbound, crashed into a Subaru. The impact caused the Equinox to flip onto the Subaru. Authorities on the scene detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver of the Equinox. She was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment, and her injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening. Police are awaiting toxicology results and are considering charges related to driving under the influence.

The crash scene was chaotic, with the overturned cars blocking the road. Firefighters assisted in the extraction of the cars, and emergency medical services transported the injured driver to the hospital.
