Providence, PA (July 2, 2024) – Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) troopers reported a Tuesday morning crash in Delaware County that killed three people.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at about 7:55 a.m. on the southbound lane of the Media Bypass between State Road and Route 252. Delaware County authorities said a community transit van was involved in an accident with a vehicle that was towing a dumpster. The van subsequently caught fire, officials said. The van’s driver and two passengers died in the fire, per officials.
Police said the passengers were pulled from the bus by passersby, but they were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. In the meantime, PSP has announced that the crash is being investigated.
