Philadelphia, PA – Two Dead in Head-on Collision on Hunting Park Ave at Broad St – The Slocum Firm

Philadelphia, PA (June 25, 2024) – A vehicle went up in flames after a car crash in North Philadelphia left two people dead early Tuesday morning.

According to Philadelphia police, the two-car crash happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of West Hunting Park Avenue and North Broad Street. Surveillance video shows a sedan veering into the wrong lane on the left side of the screen and then colliding with a Toyota RAV4, causing the sedan to burst into flames. Police said the driver of the sedan hit the RAV4 head-on, and two people were pronounced dead at the scene. However, no further details on the victims or the events leading up to the collision were released. PPD officers requested that any witnesses come forward as they continued their investigation.
