Philadelphia, PA (August 4, 2024) –  A pedestrian crash occurred early morning on Thursday, August 2, in Northeast Philadelphia. A car crashed into a 7-Eleven store after colliding with a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian. The incident, reported by the Philadelphia Police Department, occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on the 6800 block of Bustleton Avenue.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the driver of a 2014 Jeep Cherokee was traveling westbound on Harbison Avenue when he experienced a medical emergency. The driver lost consciousness, causing the vehicle to veer off course into the 7-Eleven parking lot, where it struck a tractor-trailer that was delivering goods to the store.

Following the collision with the tractor-trailer, the Jeep continued forward, hitting a 34-year-old pedestrian who was standing outside the store. The vehicle then crashed into the front of the 7-Eleven and came to a stop inside the building. Emergency responders were quickly sent to the crash site to clear the debris and assist the hurt victims.

The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. The driver of the Jeep refused medical treatment. Local law enforcement authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. More updates will be released as the inquiry progresses.

We hope the injured pedestrian makes a swift and complete recovery.
