Philadelphia, PA (August 18, 2024) – A three-car collision on Thursday afternoon, August 15, resulted in one fatality and six injuries, causing Kelly Dr to be closed for several hours. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kelly Dr and Reservoir Dr.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the accident happened when a black Nissan Altima, driven by a 44-year-old man, attempted an illegal left turn to avoid traffic. This maneuver led to a collision with another car. 

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, where they transported a 41-year-old man to Temple Hospital, where he was later declared deceased. The Altima driver was taken to Presbyterian Hospital with minor injuries.
