Neshannock Twp, PA (January 7, 2025) – A fatal car crash occurred on Tuesday, January 7, along Interstate 376 at the Mitchell Road Exit, resulting in the tragic loss of one life. Emergency responders, including local police, fire crews, and EMS, were dispatched to the scene around 8:30 a.m.

Authorities reported that I-376 was temporarily shut down in both directions—westbound near the Mitchell Rd exit at mile marker 10 and eastbound at mile marker 5.3—while crews worked to manage the situation. The roadways have since reopened.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the collision involved two cars, one of which hit the other at high speed, causing the fatal crash. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, but their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Emergency services transported injured individuals to a nearby hospital, and fire crews assisted with vehicle extractions.

The Neshannock Township Police Department has launched an investigation into the crash, urging witnesses to provide any information.
