Lehigh Co, PA – Injury Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-78 WB

Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, has seen a significant number of tractor-trailer accidents, accounting for a large portion of road injuries and fatalities. In 2020, Pennsylvania reported over 6,300 accidents involving heavy trucks, with 110 fatalities, many occurring on highways like I-78. These crashes often involve collisions between large trucks and smaller passenger vehicles, which are more vulnerable due to the size difference.

Such accidents typically result in severe injuries, such as broken bones and traumatic brain injuries. Common causes include mechanical failures, like tire blowouts and brake issues, as well as driver distractions. Trucking companies are required to keep records that can help identify the cause of accidents and hold responsible parties accountable.

If you’re injured in a truck accident, it’s important to seek medical attention and document the scene. An attorney can assist in securing compensation by investigating negligence through key evidence, such as driver logs and maintenance records, and guiding you through the legal process.
