
Lehigh Co, PA (April 15, 2025) – A motor vehicle crash occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Tuesday afternoon, April 15, claiming the life of one individual. The incident, reported by the Pennsylvania State Police, took place at approximately 2:00 p.m. between the Quakertown and Lehigh Valley exits in the northbound lanes. The crash involved two tractor-trailers and resulted in a significant closure of the highway for several hours.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles, with one of the trucks catching fire. Emergency responders, including local fire departments, were quick to arrive at the scene and worked to extinguish the fire while also extracting the wreckage. The injured individual was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. Authorities have confirmed that no other injuries were reported.
