Columbia, PA (June 4, 2024) – According to state police, a woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 30 in Lancaster County on Tuesday morning, June 4.

The coroner’s office said the 30-year-old victim is from York. Her name hasn’t been released yet. The crash happened around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, near mile marker 256.6 in West Hempfield Township, and local news video footage from the scene showed smoke coming from one of the vehicles in the median, which was apparently on fire as a result of the collision. It’s not yet clear how the crash happened, though a truck and a four-door sedan were reportedly involved in the incident. No further details were released, though officers continued to investigate and asked any witnesses to step forward.
