Union City, PA (June 25, 2024) – A Corry woman was killed Monday afternoon when she was struck by a truck while walking along Route 6 in Union Township, the Pennsylvania State Police reported.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene at around 5:00 p.m. on Monday following the accident, which was reported at roughly 3:40 p.m. on Route 6 east of Mitchell Road, according to state police and the Erie County Coroner’s Office. A Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 47-year-old Erie man was traveling along Route 6 and was negotiating an S-curve in the roadway when the motorist struck the woman. The accident remained under investigation Tuesday, though no further details were released.
