Tyrone Twp, PA - Fatality, Injuries Reported in Collision on Rte 234 at Rte 15

Tyrone Township, PA (July 5, 2024) – Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) stated that a woman was killed and five others were injured in a crash in Adams County on Thursday, July 4.

One person was pronounced dead at a hospital after the crash on East Berlin Road (Route 234) in Tyrone Township around 11:30 a.m. on that day. Troopers said an SUV made a left turn in front of another vehicle to get to the on-ramp of Route 15.

The deceased victim was a passenger in the vehicle that collided with the SUV, and the driver of that vehicle was also taken to a hospital. The driver of the SUV and his three passengers — including a 1-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl — were also transported to a local medical center with injuries of undisclosed gravity. Meanwhile, an official inquiry into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
