Turbotville, PA (June 29, 2024) – A deadly truck crash claimed the lives of two individuals on Friday afternoon in Turbotville. The incident, reported by the Montour County Coroner’s Office, occurred at the intersection of County Line Road and Route 54 in Limestone Township at approximately 2:40 p.m.
According to Montour County Coroner Scott Lynn, the crash involved two separate trucks, one of which caught fire upon impact. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released, pending autopsies scheduled for July 2 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Emergency response teams from Washingtonville, Watsontown, Mahoning Township, and Liberty Township, along with the Montour County Sheriff’s Office, Montour County EMA, and PSP from Milton and Montoursville, responded to the scene. Hazmat teams were also deployed to manage fuel spillage resulting from the accident.
County Line Road and Route 54 were closed for several hours as first responders worked diligently at the scene.
