Ross Township, PA (July 6, 2024) – Authorities reported that a rollover crash caused traffic delays and a handful of victim injuries on McKnight Road on Thursday, July 4.
Emergency crews were called to the 4500 block of McKnight Road at around 2:55 p.m. News footage showed a gray Subaru SUV on its roof at the site of the incident. The events leading up to the crash are still unknown, and officers did not release details on the total number of victims. However, an investigation is being conducted by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be released as the inquiry moves forward.
Our thoughts go out to any injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery at this time.
Motor Vehicle Accidents in Pennsylvania
According to the most current data from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, traffic analysts say that several hundred reportable traffic collisions occur in Pennsylvania on average every day. There are more than 150 injuries from those reportable collisions daily, or eight injuries every hour on average from car accidents.
A vehicle collision injury can have a catastrophic effect on your life. The financial hardship that follows a vehicle accident is often even worse, where victims deal with the constant stress or pain and hospitalization or the possibility of losing even more income while they heal.
This is part of why the goal of compensatory damages after a crash is to adequately reimburse the injured party for the losses they have suffered due to the wrongdoing or carelessness of another party that resulted in the vehicle accident. Damages seek to “make the injured party whole” by paying for a range of monetary and non-monetary damages that victims of auto accidents may sustain. In vehicle accidents, compensatory damages might consist of costs for medical bills, physical therapy, and more.
