Providence Township, PA (July 25, 2024) – According to the latest reports released by officers, a crash involving a tractor-trailer was blocking traffic on Route 222 in Lancaster County on Thursday, July 25, and left a handful of people with injuries.
The incident happened in the 500 block of Beaver Valley Pike/Route 222 near Fairview Road in Providence Township around 1:15 p.m. Route 222 was shut down between Fairview and Oak Bottom Roads. Police were called to the scene to assist with traffic control. Slowdowns are expected in the area. The extent of the victims’ injuries was unknown, however. In the meantime, officials continued to investigate the incident, and no further information about the victims involved has been made available thus far.
