Philadelphia, PA (July 11, 2024) – A 19-year-old woman was killed Thursday after being ejected from a vehicle in an overnight car crash in Philadelphia, police said.
According to officers on the scene, the accident happened around 12:45 a.m. on the 4100 block of K Street. Police said the investigation revealed that a GMC vehicle was traveling eastbound on Hunting Park Avenue, crossing K Street, as a Honda vehicle was traveling southbound on K Street and crossing Hunting Park Avenue. Per authorities, the GMC hit the Honda, which caused the Honda to hit a legally parked Cadillac.
The rear passenger of the Honda, the 19-year-old victim, was then ejected from the vehicle, police said. Medics transported her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead at around 1:20 a.m. However, no further details on the victims or the events leading up to the collision were released, and it’s unclear if anybody else was hurt in the incident.
