Deadly Bicycle Accidents in Pennsylvania
According to the most current data from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, traffic analysts say that several hundred reportable traffic collisions occur in Pennsylvania on average every day. There are more than 150 injuries from those reportable collisions daily, or eight injuries every hour on average from car accidents.
A vehicle collision injury can have a catastrophic effect on your life. The financial hardship that follows a vehicle accident is often even worse, where victims deal with the constant stress or pain and hospitalization or the possibility of losing even more income while they heal.
This is part of why the goal of compensatory damages after a crash is to adequately reimburse the injured party for the losses they have suffered due to the wrongdoing or carelessness of another party that resulted in the vehicle accident. Damages seek to “make the injured party whole” by paying for a range of economic and non-economic damages that victims of auto accidents may sustain. In wrongful death cases and accidents, economic damages might consist of expenses for burial costs, medical bills, lost wages, and more.
