Lower Burrell, PA (May 16, 2024) – Two cars collided head-on in Lower Burrell on Tuesday morning, May 14, seriously injuring at least one person, according to the latest local reports provided by Westmoreland County officials.

A Westmoreland County 911 operator said that the collision occurred at the junction of Greensburg Road and Dutchman Run Road at around 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The dispatcher added that one individual was taken by medical helicopter to the hospital, though he was unable to disclose the full nature of the victim’s injuries. It was not immediately clear what caused the collision. However, officers continued to investigate and asked any witnesses to step forward.
