Franklin Co, PA - Deadly Crash on Molly Pitcher Hwy

Franklin Co, PA (February 16, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred on February 13 on Molly Pitcher Highway in Franklin County, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to two others. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash was reported at approximately 1:10 a.m. at the intersection of Molly Pitcher Hwy and Pin Oak Ct in Greene Township.

Upon arrival, officers found a silver 2016 Volkswagen overturned in a field off the southbound shoulder of the highway. The car appeared to have ejected at least one of its occupants. Emergency responders, including firefighters, worked to extricate the individuals trapped in the car. Paramedics transported the deceased and the injured victims to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The cause of the crash remains unclear, and authorities are urging any witnesses to come forward with additional information to aid in the investigation. Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to assess the scene and have closed a section of Molly Pitcher Hwy while conducting their inquiry.
