Erie County, PA (June 17, 2024) – State police say that a 17-year-old Fairview resident has been pronounced dead following a rollover crash on Interstate 79.
According to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook, the victim was pronounced dead at UPMC Hamot at around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 16. Officials say the initial crash involved a head-on collision between two vehicles, while a witness at the scene said the two collided traveling northbound on I-79 at the Interchange Road exit just before 1:00 p.m., causing a rollover.
