Delaware Co, PA (April 18, 2025) – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Thursday night, April 17, in Ridley Park, claiming the life of a young motorcyclist. The incident happened around 9:00 p.m. on the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Route 420.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, 26-year-old Matthew Rinck was riding his motorcycle when he collided with another vehicle while changing lanes. The impact caused Rinck to be thrown from the motorcycle. Emergency responders, including Ridley Park Fire Department and EMS, quickly arrived on the scene. Despite life-saving efforts, Rinck was pronounced dead due to the severe injuries sustained in the crash.
Firefighters assisted with traffic control and cleared the wreckage, while state police temporarily shut down a portion of I-95 SB to investigate the scene. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been announced at this time.
