
Dauphin County, PA (June 29, 2024) – A lethal head-on car collision closed part of US 22 in central Pennsylvania earlier today, announced Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) officials. The multi-vehicle crash occurred eastbound on US 22 between Exit: PA 325 East – Mountain Road and Exit: PA 225 North – Halifax/Dauphin to Peter’s Mountain Road.
According to PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler, the collision happened just before 4 p.m., leading to the closure of all lanes. The roadway reopened around 5 p.m., though details regarding the number of vehicles and injuries remain undisclosed.
Pennsylvania State Police have been dispatched to the scene to investigate further.
