Dalton, PA (June 7, 2024) – A multi-vehicle crash had traffic backed up in Lackawanna County on Friday afternoon, June 7, and resulted in several victim injuries.
According to the Lackawanna County Emergency Communications Center, a call came in at around 4:30 p.m. about a two-car crash with victims ejected, near Routes 6 and 11. Sergeant Gaughan of the Dalton Police Department stated that the vehicles were a red Nissan SUV and a Ford pickup truck. One of the vehicles crossed over the median and then collided with a car coming from the opposite direction.
Officials on-scene reported that there were six total patients, with multiple people being ejected from their vehicles. Dalton Police Department also added that several people were transported from the scene with unknown injuries. However, the Dalton PD is still investigating the cause of the crash, and officers asked any witnesses to step forward.
