Carlisle, PA (May 23, 2024) – According to the latest reports provided by authorities, a collision involving a truck and at least two other vehicles on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County occurred on May 23, and caused significant delays.

The accident occurred just after 8:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes close to Exit 47 to Hanover Street in the greater Carlisle area. Fire, police, and medical personnel arrived on the site a short time later. At least two to three people were reportedly hurt and taken to hospitals after the crash. The roadway has also since cleared following officers’ traffic management in the area, though area officials continue to investigate the incident in the interim.
