Bradford Co, PA (December 7, 2024) – A fatal car crash occurred on December 7 in Bradford County, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The tragic incident, reported by the South Creek Volunteer Ambulance Association, took place around 9:00 a.m. near the intersection of Ketchum Road and Route 14 in South Creek Township.
According to the Bradford County Communications Center, the crash involved two cars. When emergency responders arrived at the scene, one of the vehicles was found engulfed in flames, prompting additional units to be dispatched. Unfortunately, both 29-year-old Rebecca High, from Troy, and her passenger, 29-year-old Skyler Drake, also from Troy, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Bradford County Coroner.
One additional individual, whose condition remains unknown, was transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities from the Pennsylvania State Police, along with local units from South Creek Township, Ridgebury, Troy, Sayre, and Canton, worked to manage the situation, controlling traffic and ensuring public safety. Firefighters were also on-site to assist with the extraction of the vehicles from the wreckage.
PennDOT officials closed Route 14 in both directions between Roaring Run Rd (Route 4034) and Coryland Rd (Route 4031) for several hours before reopening the road just before 3:00 p.m. The Pennsylvania State Police Towanda are continuing to investigate the crash.
