Bensalem, PA (June 19, 2024) – A truck crash caused a handful of injuries and traffic backup for commuters on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bensalem on Wednesday morning, June 19.
A tractor-trailer overturned in a construction zone following a collision around 5:00 a.m. on the Turnpike (I-276) near the Bensalem exit. The truck struck construction equipment in the work zone after the initial accident, and the number of injured victims involved is unknown. Injured victims were taken to local hospitals for additional care. All eastbound lanes between Bensalem (Exit 351) and Willow Grove (Exit 343) were closed for several hours. Officers are continuing their inquiry into the crash during the interim. Witnesses were asked to come forward as soon as possible.
