Personal Injury

Raising the bar in personal injury representation.

We consider ourselves to be more than just our clients’ attorneys. Our clients trust us to help them, and this means something. We could simply take on client after client and add case after case to the pile.

But, we don’t.

Instead, we focus on getting to know our clients personally, limiting our caseload so that we can do our very best in each and every matter that we handle. We know what you expect. We believe that you are entitled to expect more.

We invest our time, money, and resources in you.

At The Slocum Firm, we represent people whose lives have been transformed by other people’s mistakes. If you were injured in an accident in which someone else was to blame, you deserve an advocate who will fight with 100 percent commitment to restore the balance in your life. We truly believe this, and this is why we dedicate all of our resources to every case and limit the number of cases we take at any one time. By taking this approach, we ensure that each client receives highly-individualized legal counsel, and that every single case is resolved in our client’s best interests as quickly as possible.

We handle complex personal injury claims.

Closure. It’s a word that can mean many different things to many different people.  But, at its core, it signifies that a person has found the resolve – and the means – to move on from a traumatic experience.

Through decades of legal experience, we have found that, for many people, personal injury claims are ultimately about a search for closure.  It is normal for victims of traumatic accidents to be left feeling scared, sad, angry, and confused.  At The Slocum Firm, we focus on providing a road map for our clients, so they can get to the light at the end of the tunnel.

The time that it takes to resolve a case will vary. It typically takes twelve months or less is typical for cases that settle without filing a lawsuit. Whereas it typically takes eighteen months or more for cases that are put into suit.

How much will I get?

This varies case by case. Recoveries vary by the extent of injury, the amount of medical bills and the amount of lost wages.
